Know what a car
is really worth.
Scan a plate or paste an advert. Motor-IQ reads the car's MOT history, prices the prep from its last MOT, and gives you a straight Buy, Maybe or Pass with the margin, before you commit a penny.
Scan a plate.
Get the number.
What it retails for, the most to pay after your prep and margin, and a straight Buy, Maybe or Pass. Drag the price and watch it change, exactly as it does in the app.
Buy when the margin clears your target (£1,500 here, set in the app), Maybe when it's thin, Pass when it doesn't pay. An example car: your numbers, your prep and your margin set the answer.
However you find the car.
On the forecourt, at auction, or scrolling adverts at night: every car gets the same answer.
Point your phone at the car. The plate is read on your phone, then its MOT history, mileage check and value come back in seconds.
Copy a link from Auto Trader, eBay or any dealer site. Motor-IQ reads the price, mileage and spec off the page and gives you the verdict.
Every car you've bought, lit by days in stock. Told when one is ageing or priced above the market, and what to drop it to.
UK MOTs, built into every valuation.
Every UK MOT from 2005 to 2024. See whether a car's miles are high for its age, what that model fails on at that age, and what its own MOT advisories will cost you before it goes on the forecourt.
Priced from the car's last MOT at trade rates. An example car.
Run the forecourt from your phone.
The tools you pay for separately, in the same app as the valuation.

Before you trust a number.
The three questions every dealer asks us, answered plainly.
Where does the retail value come from?
From comparable cars advertised for sale, matched on model, engine, trim, year and mileage. Every valuation shows how confident it is and the cars it was compared with, so you can check it against Auto Trader yourself.
MOT data doesn't set the price. It checks the car: its mileage history, its advisories, and how that model holds up at that age. Where there aren't enough comparable cars, Motor-IQ says so and asks for your figure instead of guessing.
Is the prep figure realistic?
It's your own standard prep, which you set, plus what the car's last MOT flagged, priced at trade rates. A worn tyre or pitted discs show up; a slipping clutch, a tired gearbox, a stretched timing chain or a blocked DPF don't, because an MOT doesn't test them.
So it tells you what that model most often fails on at that age, and you still look the car over and drive it. Motor-IQ prices what the records show; it doesn't replace your eyes.
Does it actually work?
It's in beta, and free while we prove it with independent dealers. The verdict, prep, part-ex, stock and MOT reminder tools work in the app today. Live DVLA and MOT lookups are being switched on; until then the app shows sample cars, clearly labelled.
If it can't value a car properly, it says so. Test it against cars you've just bought and sold: that's the only proof that counts.
